Do you love designing user-centered interfaces but also want to be involved in Product Management? Then you're exactly right with us! We are looking for an all-rounder with a focus on UX/UI (about 2/3) and a share of Product Owner tasks (about 1/3).
About Yoordi
Yoordi is an innovative SaaS-HospitalityTech startup based in Zurich. Our mission: to make digital orders and payments for restaurants, cafes, bars, and events as easy as possible. With our all-in-one system, we are revolutionizing hospitality – in Swiss quality and with absolute flexibility.
Your Role
As a UX/UI Designer & Product Owner, you are responsible not only for great UX/UI concepts and designs but also for Product Management tasks such as creating user stories, sprint planning, and business value prioritization.
Your Main Tasks
- UX/UI Design
- Develop intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile solutions.
- Rapid prototyping and iteration
- Conduct user research to gather feedback and focus on user needs.
- Product Management (~1/3)
- Create and prioritize user stories in close coordination with the development team.
- Participate in agile processes (Scrum, Kanban) – e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, business value prioritization.
- Test and accept new features and continuously optimize the product.
- Team & Communication
- Work closely with our CTO, the development team, and other stakeholders.
- Use English as the main language for product documentation, tools, and meetings.
- Attend at least one team day per week on-site in Zurich (onboarding & collaboration), otherwise flexible hybrid work.
What You Bring
- UX/UI Experience: You have already designed user interfaces and have a good sense of user needs. The choice of your tools is up to you.
- Product Thinking: You are familiar with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and can create and prioritize user stories.
- User-Centric Mindset: Terms like user research, usability testing, and iteration are not foreign to you.
- Communication: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written. Other languages (e.g., French) are a plus but not a must.
- Hands-on Mentality: You are creative, solution-oriented, and proactively tackle new challenges.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

Languages:
- German: Native speaker
- Swiss German: At least listening comprehension
- English: C1 level
- French: Native speaker

- You live within 1–2 hours of Zurich

Your Profile
Experience:
- Hospitality: You've worked hands-on in a hospitality business and understand the real-world challenges
- Hospitality Tech: POS systems, payments, terminals, e-commerce, PMS – these aren't foreign concepts to you
- SaaS Sales: You understand the difference between physical products and Software-as-a-Service, and know how to bridge both worlds
- Technical Understanding: You get how systems interact and can explain it to customers without a technical background
Framework
- Location: Remote/Hybrid – regular meetings in Zurich and on-site client visits
- Workload: Starting at 80%
- Start Date: As soon as possible, or by agreement
